Ayurveda means knowledge of life and is the ancient practice that covers all things relating to Indian culture, philosophy, health, and nutrition, including yoga, Ayurvedic massage and Indian head massage. Along with what you may expect from a massage, it incorporates work on marma or acupressure points, chakra balancing and energy flow. It also uses a special oil with a coconut and sesame base mixed with herbs from India which works to heal the skin, muscles and even the internal organs. Clients often report that the treatment makes them feel uplifted when they are down, and grounded when they are frazzled or anxious.
